Gnomdom – PS5 Review

Gnomdom is the latest from our pals at Silesia Games. In a somewhat shocking turn of events, it’s NOT a hidden cat game. It definitely falls into the casual cosy game category, so not a massive deviation in that regard.

Developed by Dana and Vivi, we guess a small indie pair, Gnomdom is a fun little puzzle game set around the birthday party of an elderly gnome. Your task is to round up a dozen of his pals by way of solving some nice little brain teasers.

Some are straightforward, others a little more tricky. There are twelve gnomes to round up with two puzzles each. There’s simple memory match games and block shuffling puzzles among others, so this is just as suitable for kids to play as well. Our eleven year old was into it, put it that way.

As well as the puzzles, there’s also a dozen photos to find, though they are pretty easy to find. Sometimes the puzzles are a little on the oblique side, but that’s no bad thing. It stops you tearing through everything Gnomdom has to offer in one sitting at least.

Graphically, everything is all very cute and portrayed in a painted style. The photos and all the gnomes are also fun.

As you fulfil the challenges for each gnome, he’ll be added to the attendees of the birthday party. If you go back to the old gnome’s house, you’ll see the other gnomes around the table.

Eventually once you’ve completed all the puzzles, you’ll get yourself a nice straightforward platinum for your trouble. Go inside the party for a nice little epilogue. You’re welcome.

Anyway, in conclusion, Gnomdom is a lovely little puzzle game which won’t take you ages to finish, but you’ll sure have fun doing so.

About Ian

Ian likes his games weird. He loves his Vita even if Sony don't anymore. He joined the PS4 party relatively late, but has been in since day one on PS5.
