Find My Frogs is a departure from the usual Silesia Games fare, inasmuch as it’s amphibian focussed. Not one cat to be found. It’s still a hidden object game though, so you’ll know what to expect.
In addition to the three hundred plus frogs and toads, you’re tasked with finding mice, insects, gnomes and all manner of other miscellany. The vast bulk of the searching takes place in the large area around the tree, with a few rooms inside having some extra to discover. These all add up to the veritable pinata’s worth of trophies you’ll be showered with.

Find My Frogs is adorable you see, but at the outset, you’ll completely pass some of the hidden objects by, at least until you realise what it is you’re actually looking for. You see, some of the amphibians aren’t immediately obvious as being such, with the crown of a head being the only part on view. Or a leg in a few cases.
That’s no bad thing though, as it stops the game being a one and done inside a half hour. Yes, the challenge is mitigated to some extent by the fact that you can use the free search with impunity, but limited by a timer.
But Find My Frogs is so utterly charming that even the most cynical jaded old lag of a reviewer, ourselves included, will come away delighted. Yes, we may have unlocked the platinum trophy a few seconds under an hour. But in doing so we had, if not a transformative experience, a beguiling one.

When you start the game, make sure you’ll switch on the day / night cycle as the game goes from already delightful to beautiful when twilight falls. The lighting just adds another layer of charm that we didn’t see coming.
The game is framed in a similar manner to Silesia’s other recent non-cat foray Gnomdom, inasmuch as you are tasked with finding all the frogs and toads for a family photo for the grandpa of the group. No puzzles here though, just a search. It’s all good though.

The gently bubbling music and sound effects also add to the mood. It’s a simile we’ve used before, but Find My Frogs is a warm sweater, hot chocolate and slippers of a game. We just wish that was an easy way to reset our progress without manually deleing our save in the PS5 settings menu.
In conclusion, while Find My Frogs is a slight thing, it’s also charming with it. We reckon we’ll play it again and again too, which is a rarity for this sort of thing. We had this realisation upon going to capture a few more screenshots for our review and found ourselves fifty or so frogs deep before we realised we had other things to get on with.
Get to it and find Grandpa Frog’s frogs, toads and all else besides and you’ll be sure to be as enchanted as we were.
+ Once night falls, it’s beautiful
+ Chilled atmosphere due to music and sfx
- Liberal spamming of search possible without penalty
- Resetting progress not possible in-game
